At WorkLife by OpenMoney, we understand that from time to time, many of us could do with a little bit of extra guidance. If we are lucky, we have are several different avenues that we can get this from. Our friends, family and colleagues, but you might be wondering what happens if you feel as though you can’t talk to any of them? Or if you feel that you need more specialized help?

NHS waiting lists can be long, and private mental health treatment, expensive – both things that have the capacity to exacerbate our worries. We might also feel uncomfortable to ask for help, due to the unfortunate stigmatization of mental health issues. For more information on this, read our blog about debunking the myths around therapy.

However, as members of the WorkLife by OpenMoney community, our employees have access to Thrive, an NHS-approved mental wellbeing app. This year Thrive launched their in-app therapy service whereby anyone using the app can get confidential support from qualified therapists. These therapists are equipped to chat about anything troubling you, from work issues, bereavement, low self-esteem, relationships to big life changes.

Confidential, effective and free, Thrive’s in-app therapy sessions are unlimited and both confidential and secure – available Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm.
